Jane is a performer, arts administrator, and educator currently pursuing her BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University where she is anticipating her career as a professional modern dance company member and arts administrator based in Chicago. During her time in undergraduate studies, Jane studied abroad with the Department of Dance in the Summer of 2019 to Denmark where she traveled through the country and performed in multiple locations. She then completed a semester abroad at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in the Fall of 2019. She also had many performance opportunities with Ohio State within the Faculty and MFA concerts.
Jane received the undergraduate arts research scholarship to fulfill her senior capstone project focusing on three solos which debuted in Ohio State’s senior concert. She fostered her research interests surrounding performance practices as a dancer and how they can be identified and linked to the dancers perceived idea of the performance’s success. This project reflected on her time abroad and included a repertory solo piece where she worked directly with Chicago based company, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater.
Passionate about movement, Jane searches for a rigorous lifestyle aligning with her interests and strengths, blending her performance and arts management skills to further the arts community.
Jane has relocated to Chicago, IL in May 2020 and is currently pursuing performance opportunities in the area along with working Deeply Rooted Dance Theater as Assistant to Artistic Management and with Pure Barre Logan Square as an Instructor.
